Custom Horse Riding Tours & Treks - NSW Australia

Southern Cross Horse Treks Australia can customise an Australian horse riding holiday package or day ride to suit your dates and individual requirements, for instance shorter riding days or a slower riding pace. Non-scheduled custom riding requests are subject to availability and conditions.

Your tour guide will help formulate a solution depending on availability, group sizes and rider ability levels. All rides are for 2 - 4 riders of intermediate to advanced riding level. Single riders are welcome to enquire as there may be other riders willing to join up to make a group. Another option for those with limited time is to join one of the scheduled riding tours for a shorter amount of time.

Please note that the beach rides are only available as part of a multi-day booking with a minimum of 3 riding days and availability depends on low tide times.

Itinerary

Itinerary - Custom Horse Riding Tours & Treks NSW

Custom Tours can be arrange from between 1-7 horse riding days with accommodation at Kerewong Horse Farm Property or other (for trek).

Shorter trail rides (2 hour, half day) are only available on request and take place by special arrangement, depending on availability.

Your horse riding tour guide will select the most suitable itinerary, from the established tour day rides and trekking route, to best suit the duration of custom horse riding tours group.

Note: The Beach horse riding tour is only available according to the tides and with tour bookings covering 3 days or more.

Inclusions & Details

Inclusions - Custom Horse Riding Tours & Treks NSW

Riding days and itinerary - to be advised, as per arrangement.
Accommodation in single, double or twin rooms at the tour operator’s horse farm property Kerewong Lodge and Cabin, with optional nights at other accommodations during a trek.
All meals except 1 meal (lunch or dinner) at local establishment, at own cost, depending on itinerary and length of stay.
All non-alcoholic drinks and wine served with dinner.
Arrival & Departure Transport Transfers - to / from Port Macquarie or Kendall train station - as per arrangement, conditions apply.
Riding helmets can be provided (wearing a helmet is compulsory - you can bring your own helmet).
Knowledgeable tour guide: your host Kathy will guide all rides, is present during your holiday at Kerewong (her home). Kathy is available to communicate with you directly during the booking procedure and help you with all your queries regarding your horse riding holiday, before and during your stay.
High Quality Horses and Tack with small saddlebags.

Travel to Port Macquarie or Kendall

Tour Length: As per arrangement from 1 to 7 horse riding days.

Time: Non scheduled ride, available on application year-round.

Riding Ability: Riding tour is only suitable for intermediate to advanced adult riders (English style). Participants must be reasonably fit. Children (15 years and older) with strong intermediate riding skills, and who are accompanied by a riding parent, may be able to participate on request.

Tour Highlights & Suitability:

Have your horse riding holiday tour itinerary and pace customised to your specific requirements. For example for those who prefer shorter riding days or a slower pace.

Group Size: Minimum 2 Riders; Maximum 4 Riders. Solo travelers welcome to enquire.

Horses: Arabian Horses and 1 Andalusian-TB cross, well trained, fit and responsive.

Transfer Times: As per custom-tour arrangement. Below are the standard transfer times for the scheduled tours, but transfers can be arranged according to individual requirements for a custom tour booking.

Arrival Day Pick up:
- Port Macquarie: airport, central bus station or hotel: between 17:15 - 17:30 (5:15 - 5:30pm)
- Kendall train station 18:15 (6:15pm) to meet the train from Sydney
- Separate pick-up times for Brisbane train times possible on request.
Departure Day Drop off:
- Port Macquarie airport from 11:00 (11am) (earlier on request for international connections)
- Kendall train station: to meet 09:00 (9am) train to Sydney

Accommodation

Accommodation - Custom Horse Riding Tours & Treks NSW

Accommodation At Kerewong Horse Farm Riding Centre

Kerewong Lodge and Cabin is located on the tour operator’s picturesque 60 acre horse farm property "Kerewong" in the Lorne Valley, Port Macquarie hinterland region of New South Wales, East Coast Australia.

Horse Riding guests will stay in comfortable and modern accommodation in either the studio-style Cabin (double / twin or single) or have a single or double / twin room in the separate guest wing of the main house, Kerewong Lodge.

All rooms in the Kerewong Lodge and Cabin have their own bathroom with shower and toilet (depending on group size and constitution two singles may have to share bathroom - which is only the case in agreement with guests and this will be discussed at booking time or prior to arrival).

Linen and towels provided.

Meals will be enjoyed together with your host and co-riders in the large communal area or on the veranda of Kerewong Lodge.
