Nino - Happy All The Time

When Kathy went to Sydney to pick up a new horse (Queen T.) in May 2022, she did not plan to go home with 2 horses. But there was a young vibrant horse running around in his paddock by himself, kicking up his heels and racing towards the gate as soon as he saw people coming. And there we had Nino, begging for attention and someone to take him out of the boring paddock and start a new life!  And to Kerewong it was.  

Nino is still always waiting at the gate or comes running towards anyone entering the paddock, always up for some play with either horses or people or dogs. What stood out most about this sweet horse right from the start, is Nino's indestructable happiness! He always seems to not have a worry in the world. As he was only 5 years old when he arrived and had never been out on a trail, Nino was given time to settle in and mature and slowly conditioned to the terrain on the trails. Towards the end of 2023 he completed his first 40 km endurance ride with ease and happiness. He then was ready to start his real job on the treks, which he absolutely loves and excels in.  

Nino is a confident Arabian x Warmblood x Arabian Riding Pony with a friendly, easy-going nature and seems to always expect that only good will come towards him from anyone he meets. Within the Kerewong herd, Nino is related to Kuta: Nino is the grandson of Kuta's full sister.
