Kerewong Horse Farm Property - Port Macquarie Hinterland
The Kerewong 60 acre property is nestled in the green rolling hills of the Lorne Valley and is bordered by the NSW Kerewong State Forest. This is the main base of activity for Southern Cross Horse Treks' horse herds and riders.
The Kerewong horse farm is lush with gently sloping horse paddocks, timber post & rail horse fences, a few orange trees, macadamia nut trees and many Australian native trees and plants, with an abundance of visiting birds and wildlife.
The driveway, lined with impressive tall Spotted Gum trees (a Eucalypt variety), leads past the stables and hay & tack shed into the garden and towards the main house with the guest wing lodge, large decking area and pool. Situated on a little hill behind the main house stands the private studio guest cabin with its own little veranda.
The garden is bordered directly by horse paddocks and the horses are almost "at your doorstep" during your stay and horse riding holiday at Kerewong with Southern Cross Horse Treks. Guests always enjoy being able to see and watch the horses in their fields, in the morning before or during breakfast or in the late afternoon after riding while relaxing on the verandah.
The views are idyllic and above the farmlands that surround (dotted with horses, cows & their calves), you can view Comboyne Mountain over the tall Gum Trees (Eucalypts) that dominate the Australian landscape, bushland and forests.
