Horse Treks Booking Procedure
Please read through our booking procedure to understand how to book and what happens after you submit an enquiry for one of the scheduled horse riding tours or a custom tour request.
Southern Cross Horse Treks Australia specialises in small group horse trek tours of up-to 4 experienced (intermediate to advanced) guest riders. Tour groups usually consist of singles or couples booking individually or sometimes of groups of friends / relatives who already make up their own small group of 3-4 riders.
Southern Cross Horse Treks Australia Booking Procedure
As Southern Cross Horse Treks is a small owner-operated business you will be dealing with Kathy Holtrust, your host and tour guide, personally.
The quickest way to communicate is by email to avoid playing telephone tag. Send a quick email.
If you prefer to discuss your questions by phone, please call the Kerewong land line phone number (the property has no mobile phone reception).
Bookings are essential for all rides.
Bookings are not confirmed until the completed booking enquiry form has been received, your booking has been accepted and your deposit payment has been received.
I am not ready to book yet, but have a question about the horse riding tours.
- Most questions about rider eligibility, the horses, riding style, tours, accommodation and travel information are covered in the Fact Sheet. Availability of scheduled tour dates can be found in the individual Tours pages OR at the quick glance Schedule overview. If you have other questions or want to find out about specific tour date availability please use the quick enquiry email form on the contact page and Kathy will respond to you via email.
I would like to book a place on one of the scheduled tours or request a custom ride.
- To request a booking for one of the Southern Cross Horse Treks Tours please complete the Online Booking Enquiry Form or send the completed downloaded version of the Booking Enquiry Form via email. The minimum required information to make an initial booking enquiry are your age, height, weight, details about riding experience, horse riding level and horse preference.
- On receipt of your booking form Kathy will let you know if your booking can be accepted and the tour date will be confirmed.
- If the booking and tour date are confirmed, an invoice will be emailed to you.
- A 20% deposit payment secures your spot on the tour and confirms that you accept the Southern Cross Horse Treks Terms & Conditions.
- Full payment is due one month before tour start date. All payments can be made via (International) bank transfer.
- Please send information about transfers required and your arrival and departure details as soon as you have made your travel arrangements for the tour. It is recommended that you discuss your arrival & departure details before you book your flights, especially if they are not in line with the set transfer times. The set transfer times can be found on the Fact Sheet and your invoice.
- On arrival and before riding, you will be asked to fill out and sign an Indemnity & Waiver Form and provide Emergency Contact and Travel Insurance Details.
