Rainbow Lorikeet - Native Grevillea
Rainbow Lorikeets are nectar eaters and can be observed from the large Kerewong Lodge Veranda feeding off the flowers of the Grevileas around the swimming pool area. Grevilleas are a native Australian shrub that flowers almost year round. The Kerewong horse property was initially established by previous owners as a native Australian nursery (growing and selling native Australian plants) and the flowering trees and plants attract many different beautiful birds to the garden, with the beautiful parrots being the favourite of all international horse riding holiday guests.
