Working Trail Horses

Kerewong's working horses are well-trained, fit, responsive, share the work load and all are given rest periods depending on needs.

Nino - Happy All The Time

Born 2016, black brown Partbred Arabian Nino is the youngest Kerewong horse. He has an overly friendly and confident playful manner, hence Nino Nibbles is his nick name! His outgoing, sweet and cheeky attitude and an indestructible happy disposition combined with his softness and comfortable gaits under saddle make him an exciting young horse to have in the Kerewong team. He is a willing young horse to ride, brave, light and forward on the trails. May Nino never loose his positive spirit!

The Blond Brumby

Born est. 2011, The Blonde Brumby and his brother Dodge were born and grew up as brumbies, Australia's wild horses, in the Guy Fawkes River National Park, NSW. They were captured by National Parks & Wildlife Authorities in 2013 using humane passive trapping methods and sent to the Guy Fawkes Heritage Horse Association for rehoming. Taphyl Stewart Horsemanship in Armidale handled and trained them with Natural Horsemanship techniques. Six years later the Brumby Brothers came to Kerewong to start their new life as trekking horses. Queen T. - The Flying Dragon

Born 2012, very beautiful, high quality Arabian Warmblood mare with the stamina and spirit of her Purebred Arabian mother, the movement and power of her German Warmblood father and a Dragon Lady attitude that can only be expected of a Warrior Princess. Everybody who meets her agrees that Queen T. (Tatiana) is a very interesting horse, who is therefore mostly the guide's horse, but suits advanced guest riders who appreciate a forward horse - she can move! She will make you believe you can fly!
